By accessing or using ClassroomAct, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Service.

ClassroomAct is an educational technology tool designed to help educators monitor student attention in classroom settings. It uses computer vision and AI to analyze student behavior and provide insights to teachers. This service is intended for use by educational institutions, teachers, school administrators, and parents/guardians.
2 Service Description
ClassroomAct provides the following services:

- Real-Time Attention Monitoring: AI-powered analysis of student attention levels during lessons
- Gaze Direction Detection: Identification of where students are looking
- Facial Expression Analysis: Detection of student engagement and emotional states
- Attendance Tracking: Automated tracking of student presence
- Analytics Dashboard: Comprehensive reports on student attention patterns
- Alert System: Notifications when students appear disengaged
- Session Recording: Optional recording of monitoring sessions for review

3 Eligibility & Age Requirements

3.2 Age Requirements

- Users must be 18 years or older to create an account
- Children under 13 may only be monitored with explicit parental consent
- Children ages 13-17 may be monitored with parental consent
- Students are not permitted to create their own accounts
3.3 School Verification
Educators and school administrators must verify their association with a legitimate educational institution. We reserve the right to request documentation proving:
- Employment at a recognized educational institution
- Teaching credentials or certification
- Administrative authority at the institution
4 Account Registration
4.1 Registration Requirements
To create a ClassroomAct account, you must provide:
- Full legal name
- Valid email address
- Strong password (minimum 8 characters)
- Organization/institution name
- Role/position within the organization
- Verification documents (as required)
4.2 Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized access
- Ensuring your account information is accurate and up-to-date
4.3 Student Profiles
Teachers and administrators may create student profiles, which include:
- Student name (for identification purposes)
- Grade/class level
- Photo (optional, for Physical Classroom mode)
- Parent/guardian linkage (for parent accounts)
Student Data Guidelines
Student profiles must be created in compliance with:
- COPPA (for children under 13)
- FERPA (for all students)
- State and local privacy laws
- School district policies

6.5 School Exception
Under COPPA, schools can consent on behalf of parents for educational purposes. If your school uses ClassroomAct:
- The school represents that it has obtained parental consent
- Schools must maintain records of such consent

- Parents can contact the school to exercise their child's rights
7 Educational Records (FERPA)
ClassroomAct is designed to comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) for the protection of student educational records.

8.2 Payment Methods

8.4 Refund Policy

9 Acceptable Use

- Academic research (with appropriate approvals)
- Parent engagement with child's educational progress
9.2 Prohibited Uses

- Commercial advertising or marketing
- Any illegal purpose
9.3 Ethical Guidelines
When using ClassroomAct, educators agree to:
- Use data to improve student outcomes, not to punish
- Consider the psychological impact on students
- Provide transparency to students about monitoring
- Include students in conversations about attention and engagement
- Use data ethically and fairly
- Regularly review and reflect on monitoring practices
9.4 Monitoring & Enforcement
We actively monitor for:
- Terms violations
- Suspicious activity patterns
- Security threats
- Abuse of student data
Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
10 Intellectual Property
ClassroomAct and all its components, including:
- Software and algorithms
- UI/UX design
- Documentation
- Branding and logos
- Patents and trade secrets
are the exclusive property of Innovation and Research Network.
10.2 User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload, including:
- Student profiles you create
- Custom reports and analytics
- Uploaded materials
However, you grant us a license to use this content solely for providing the service.
10.3 Restrictions
You may NOT:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our software
- Reverse engineer our algorithms
- Remove proprietary notices
- Use our trademarks without written permission
11 Limitation of Liability
11.1 Disclaimer
ClassroomAct is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy
11.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
IN NO EVENT SHALL ClassroomAct, Innovation and Research Network, OR ITS AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the service
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
- Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the service
- Any bugs, viruses, or the like that may be transmitted
- Any errors or omissions in any content
11.3 Cap on Liability
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11.4 Exclusions
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ClassroomAct, Innovation and Research Network, and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way related to:
- Your access to or use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your user content
- Your interactions with any students or their data
- Any claims that your use of the Service violated applicable laws
13 Termination
13.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
- Using the account deletion feature in settings
- Contacting support@classroomact.com
Termination takes effect immediately, but data deletion follows our retention schedule.
13.2 Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Non-payment of fees
- Illegal activity
- Abuse of students or their data
- Security breaches
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service stops immediately
- You must stop all use of the Service
- You remain responsible for all fees owed
- Data deletion follows our retention policy
- Provisions regarding intellectual property, liability, and indemnification survive
13.4 Data Return & Deletion
Upon account termination, you may request:
- Data Export: Receive a copy of your data in standard format
- Data Deletion: Request complete deletion of all data
Requests must be made within 30 days of termination.
